The City of Monroe will be accepting Bids to contract services for the installation and relocation of natural gas mains for the proposed SR 83 Connector bypass project. All submittals should follow instructions as detailed in the Invitation to Bid and be complete in scope as requested by the City of Monroe. Bids will be reviewed and evaluated by staff on the criteria listed herein. At the discretion of the Purchasing Department companies may or may not be contacted for further justification on pricing and details provided in the Bid submittal. Award shall be given to the lowest bid that meets the requirements as listed in this Invitation to Bid, while being both responsive and responsible, with reservation of right to reject any and all bids. Chris Bailey Assistant City Administrator SCOPE OF SERVICES REQUESTED The following details the scope of services requested for the installation/relocation of steel natural gas main located on Highway 11 South in the area of Mt. Paran Church Road by directional bore or trench cutting. o 600 feet of 2" steel high pressure gas main. o 2,750 feet of 4" steel high pressure gas main. o Pressure test at 300 psi for a period of no less than 24 hours and provide chart recording verifying pressure test completion. o Tie-in of all 3/4 " steel high pressure gas line services to include 5 long side services and 3 short side services. o 2" main tie-ins at existing station 314+25, contractor responsible for control fittings and taps associated. o 4" main tie-ins at existing station 293+60 and existing station 266+50, contractor responsible for control fittings and taps associated. o NOTE: all material will be provided by the City of Monroe. o NOTE: the City of Monroe will relight all gas services upon completion. o NOTE: existing gas main pressure is 150 psi. o NOTE: no bid, performance, or payment bonds required. o NOTE: timeline for completion is not to exceed 60 days.
