The City of Lawrence, acting through its Office of Capital Assets Project Manager - the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for "Athletic Field Cultural, Nutritional, Plant Health, and Water Management Maintenance Contract" (Hereinafter "Contract") The duration of this contract is for three (3) years. The scope of work includes the following items for four (4) natural grass athletic fields: Supply and application of fertilizers and nutritional products; the supply and application of plant health products (i.e., Pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides); the execution of specific cultural/mechanical processes (i.e., aerification, deep tining, overseeding, etc.); the execution mowing services; and certain practices related to maintaining irrigation systems. (i.e., start up, shutdown, controller settings, and general maintenance) A bid bond in the form of a certified or cashier's check payable to the City of Lawrence of no less than 5% of the bid amount must accompany each bid. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 and M.G.L. c. 149, Sec. 26-27. As well as to federal Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. Bidder to furnish certification documents for all employees to be employed in the project subject to this bid showing that they have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration that is at least (10) hours in duration. OSHA certificates must be submitted prior to the City issuing the Notice to Proceed. The City of Lawrence reserves the right to waive any informality or requirement if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. The city may reject any and all bids.
