As of May 5, 2023, further detail regarding design and construction have not been identified. This project is included in the Rockland County Capital Improvement Plan fiscal year 2023-2028. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however funding is allotted to fiscal year 2023-2024. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. A detailed scope has not been released. Remaining consistent to the college's commitment that the safety of our students, employees, and visitors is our top priority, the college continually seeks to improve and upgrade campus security systems to meet modern threats. To that end, we request funding for the following: Installation of an Indoor Emergency Notification System with strobe lights for persons with disabilities; NFPA compliant emergency door locking mechanisms for classrooms during lockdown incidents; electronic proximity card reader on all exterior buildings, which would give the campus the ability to lock down a specific building, or all buildings simultaneously; upgrade and add new CCTV cameras to ensure enhanced coverage in outdoor parking areas, as well as public areas indoors, with the ability for the Sheriff's Department to view during an emergency; new security booths to replace the current booths that are antiquated and have outlive their useful purpose; and upgrade radio communications equipment to have interoperability with Police, Fire and EMS. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
