The Housing Authority of the City of Claxton, Georgia, will receive bids for Capital Fund Program, Housing Authority of the City of Claxton, Georgia, Roofing, Exterior Door, Window & Security Screen Replacement, Developments Claxton GA166001, GA166002, GA166005, GA166007 & GA166011 Improvements, Collins GA166003 & GA166006 And Pembroke GA166004 Improvements, Claxton, Collins, Pembroke, Georgia Scope Of Work shall consist of Exterior Frame and Door Replacement, Exterior Security Screen Door Assembly Replacement, Exterior Window Replacement, Window Security Screen Installation/Replacement, Roofing Replacement and Off Street Parking. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Claxton, Georgia, U. S. Government bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Each bidder shall submit with Bid a Statement of Bidder's Construction Experience and Previous Participation Certificate (HUD-2530), and Representations, Certificates, and Other Statements of Bidders (HUD5369-A). The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. Attention is called to the provision for Davis Bacon/Section 3 equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the General Conditions must be paid and reported on this project. Further the Project is funded through American Recovery And Reinvestment Act mandating the Buy American and job status reporting requirements. The Local Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding. All prospective bidders are urged to visit the site and familiarize themselves with job conditions. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Claxton, Georgia.
