Site-specific, pre-bid walkthrough- visits will be scheduled for the week of April 25, 2022, at Helena High School, 1300 Billings Ave, Helena, MT 59601. SCOPE OF WORK FOR HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS: DUCTWORK: The interior of all accessible ductwork will be either air-washed, brushed or hand vacuum cleaned. Access openings will be made into ductwork where necessary and such openings will be closed with approved refabricate access covers, fastened with sheet metal screws and caulked to prevent air leakage. Non-accessible areas will be cleaned by air pressure techniques. All duct board ductwork openings to be opened as per NADCA Standard 05 and resealed with approved FSK foil tape. AIR DIFFUSER, REGISTERS AND GRILLS: Readily removable air diffusers, registers and grills will be removed, washed, and replaced. Readily removable suggests that the air device is not plastered in place, riveted, or fastened in such a manner that removal of the air device would be impractical DAMPERS AND LOUVERS: Dampers and louvers will be cleaned and reset to previous position. AIR HANDLING EQUIPMENT: The heating/cooling coils, fan blades, fan housings, dampers and plenum walls will be cleaned. FILTERS: Contractor is responsible for removing and cleaning of filters and filter racks. Contractor will replace disposable filters supplied by the customer or wash metal filters if specified in proposal. Helena School District #1 requires all contractors to be Certified by the NADCA and perform scope of work according to NADCA standards. Contractor shall comply with all Fair Labor Practices and meet the requirements of the State of Montana. Each prime contractor and their subcontractors shall comply with the Montana 1% Gross Receipts Tax, State of Montana Prevailing Wage Rates law and shall have a Certificate of Registration from the State of Montana Department of Labor and Industry. Helena School The Helena School District No. 1 reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any and/or all informalities or technicalities, and to act in the best interest of the Helena School District No. 1. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least 60 days after the scheduled time of bid receipt. Bids must fully comply with all requirements indicated in the bid package. Helena School District No. 1 will provide the contractor with knowledge of any hazards that may be encountered at the job site.
