The Invitation for Bid ("IFB") documents may be obtained from Vito Canizaro, Project Manager, 601-317-1695, vcanizaro@cditeam.org beginning Monday April 18, 2022. All questions related to the terms of this IFB and the selection process should be directed in writing to Vito. All Bidders are invited to inspect and assess the Project by scheduling with Mr. Nathan Bargo and meet at: Family & Community Development (FCD) Head Start - 501 Kimball Street Danville, IL 61832 Site visit requests should be made to: Nathan Bargo at nbargo@vifchs.org or 217-474-7584 Questions from Bidders must be received via e-mail in order to ensure that the answers can be sent to all prospective Bidders for their consideration. All responses to inquiries will be in writing and will be provided via e-mail to all prospective Bidders who have received the IFB from CDI HS. The IFB is available in digital format (one per Contractor limit). Proposal preparation will be in accordance with Instructions found in the IFB. CDI HS reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. 927954 This is a government contract which requires Davis/Bacon Prevailing Wage Payroll Reporting. The Bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 276a to 276a- 7), as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations 29 CFR part 5, "Labor Standards Provisions Applicable to Contracts Governing Federally Financed and Assisted Construction." A copy of the prevailing wage determination issued by the Department of Labor is attached hereto as Appendix B and the award of a Contract shall be conditioned upon the Bidder's acceptance of such wage determination.
SCOPE OF WORK: Room 101 - 482 square-feet - Remove existing L.A.T., flooring & base.
- Remove wall (see plans), approx. 17 feet and 10 inches x 8 feet
- Install (1) new wall mount sink.
- Install (1) new base cabinet with hand wash sink.
- Cabinets to be paint grade wood cabinets.
- Painted, color as selected by Owner.
- Base cabinets to have new laminate countertop.
- Laminate samples to be provided by contractor awarded after bid process and selected by Owner. Laminate to be of medium grade/cost
- Cabinet/drawer pulls to be standard wire style pull.
- Install new 2x4 L.A.T. ceiling, approx. 496 square-feet
- Existing sprinkler system to remain.
- Install new V.C.T. flooring (496 square-feet).
- Existing sub-floor concrete slab.
- Repair walls where wall was demolished and repaint entire room.
- Color as selected by owner.
- Install new 6 inch rubber base at perimeter, approx. 108 linear feet
- Install new 36 inch door in hallway into new classroom.
Room 103 - 584 square-feet - Remove existing counter and base cabinet.
- Install (2) new base cabinets with hand wash sinks.
- Cabinets to be paint grade wood cabinets.
- Painted, color as selected by Owner.
- Base cabinets to have new laminate countertop.
- Laminate samples to be provided by contractor awarded after bid process and selected by Owner. Laminate to be of medium grade/cost.
- Cabinet/drawer pulls to be standard wire style pull.
- Install new 36 inch door between existing girls restroom and classroom.
- Repair existing V.C.T. flooring where existing cabinet was removed and new doorway was cut.
- Existing sub-floor concrete slab.
- Repair and repaint room where work was completed.
- Color to match existing.
- Install new rubber base to match existing, approx. 35 linear feet
