Site work for a civil project in Beulah, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
Bidders shall be pre-qualified by the Michigan Department of Transportation or have available, upon request, three references of previous work experience including the company name, address, phone, and contact person. All projects will be ready to begin May 21, 2022 in accordance with the Michigan Department of Transportation Construction Manual, and weather dependent. Completion date - June 5, 2022, unless otherwise determined and approved by the Benzie County Road Commission. Liquidated damages of $200 per calendar day will be assessed after the completion date shown for project until it is completed. All work shall be done in accordance with MDOT Standards and Specifications, BCRC Standards, and Special Provisions, and as directed by the Superintendent. All work shall be confined to daylights hours. No work shall be performed on holidays as determined by the Superintendent and contractor must give at least 24 hours' notice before work begins on any project. BCRC requires a dewatering plan be submitted a minimum of 10 days prior to starting construction. Road and drainage decisions are at the discretion of the BCRC Superintendent. The use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) shall be limited to Tier 1 (0% to 17%) RAP binder by weight of the total binder in the mixture.
