Site work for a civil project in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This Invitation for Bids "IFB" is issued in accordance with State of Utah Procurement Code and the Utah Administrative Code. If any provision of this IFB conflicts with the Utah Procurement Code or the Utah Administrative Code, then Utah Procurement Code and then Utah Administrative Code will take precedence. Purpose of this Solicitation Question Submission Close Date 5/2/2022 2:00 PM MDT The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to provide: Drainage work underneath the I215 west belt/Surplus Canal structure. This contract will result in one contract award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Contractor assumes ALL responsibility for avoiding and protecting in-place all existing underground and above ground utilities in the area of this work.*** Blue Staking will need to be performed prior to any work on the project beginning to identify the location of all utilities in the project area. o The 1st part of the work is attaching a Downspout System to 2 existing bridge deck drain pipes in order to carry water into the Surplus Canal directly to the northeast. Use Hilti HDA-P M10 (https://www.hilti.com/c/CLS_FASTENER_7135/CLS_UNDERCUT_ANCHORS_7135/r1191 ) or equivalent anchors. See Exhibit 1: "Downspout System Details". A FLOOD CONTROL PERMIT has been obtained by UDOT from Salt Lake County for this 1st part of work so that water can be discharged into the Surplus Canal This 2nd item of work will include coordinating with Sean Martin of GWRR (801-367-1814, Rail Master) for a GWRR Flagger to aid in crossing over 2 sets of railroad tracks with materials and equipment to access the UDOT ROW where the Cleanout Box is to be installed. A CROSSING PERMIT has been obtained by UDOT from GWRR for this 2nd part of work so that equipment and materials can be transported across the railroad tracks.
