Site work and paving for a civil project in Clarkstown, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Project will analyze and reconfigure the intersection of Germonds Road and Little Tor Road to decrease congestion during the AM and PM traffic peaks. The project is a continuation of a CMAQ funded traffic study that revealed deficiencies in the configuration of the existing intersection. Alternatives were made in the report ranging from traffic signal timing improvements to complete redesign of the intersection and approach roadways. Alternatives will be reviewed for compatibility with existing neighboring intersections. Upon completion of design, construction would begin in 2021. As of June 3, 2024, this project is included in the Rockland County 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
