Massapequa Union Free School District Ventilation Upgrades at Various Schools Mckenna Elementary School Sed No. 28-05-23-03-0-008-034 Unqua Elementary School Sed No. 28-05-23-03-0-007-032 Berner Middle School Sed No. 28-05-23-03-0-011-034 If proposals are submitted via delivery service (i.e. Fed-ex, UPS, in-person), building staff will be available to accept deliveries between the hours of 9 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. If bids are submitted in person a drop box will be located within the purchasing office receptionist's lobby. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to MASSAPEQUA UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT. Plan deposit is refundable in accordance with the terms in the Instructions to Bidders to all submitting bids. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. Please note REVplans is the designated location and means for distributing and obtaining all bid package information. Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder of record. The Provider takes no responsibility for the completeness of Contract Documents obtained from other sources. Contract Documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda that may have been issued.All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available at portal Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use, and coordinate directly with the printer for hard copies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: MASSAPEQUA UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT, clearly marked on the outside: Bid For: Ventilation Upgrades at Various Schools. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the MASSAPEQUA UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders section. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening It is the Board's intention to award the contracts to the lowest qualified bidder providing the required security who can meet the experience, technical and budget requirements. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interests of the School District. H2M Project No: MASD 2105/ 2106/ 2107 The purpose of the project is to provide ventilation upgrades to various schools within the district. Project includes but is not limited to ventilation air through ducted ERV's, wih electric hea and relief air upgrades. Project also includes unit ventilatior replacement at BMS.. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Provide, install, maintain, and repair, if necessary, temporary power and light throughout the site and to Owner/Architect/Engineer's field office. Temporary power shall be provided at location(s) selected by the Architect/Engineer based on input by the General Contractor. 2. Motor control centers, local control stations, transfer switches, power distribution panels, breakers, lights, and switches. 3. Furnish, install and power primary flow elements, transmitters, flow recorders and install interconnecting wiring where said devices are to be provided as work of Contract E. Setting of electrical sleeves and/or embedded conduit in all concrete construction. All conduit for new construction shall be embedded in concrete slabs, decks, or walls. 5. Electrical connections (final termination) to all equipment, control panels, ventilating equipment and electrical devices. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Removal and disposal of existing HVAC equipment and controls as indicated on the contract documents, and all related terminations as required for the complete and proper installation of new equipment and/or patching and concealment by work of other contractors. 2. Furnishing and installation of new HVAC equipment and controls as indicated on the contract documents, including all related items and accessories as required for a complete and proper installation and in accordance with the contract documents; 3. Startup participation for the various equipment and systems of the project and provide complete service to troubleshoot and assist manufacturer service representatives in obtaining a completely functional installation. 4. Furnishing and installation of all related control wiring and terminations not provided by Contract E, including all related items and accessories as required for a complete and proper installation and inaccordance with contract documents; 5. New electric unit heaters. 6. New exhaust fans, supports, and associated equipment. 7. New grilles, registers, duct work, supports and accessories. 8. New air conditioning system.
