This Contract consists of the application of pavement markings. These will be typical markings indicated in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, such as pavement traffic control messages, stop lines, crosswalks, and arrows. The contractor will provide all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to install these markings at various locations in Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties. This is a non-exclusive Contract. It does not include all work expected to be performed in the designated areas. Therefore, at times, other Contractors may be performing similar work that is not associated with this Contract. Special attention is directed to GP-5.06, Cooperation Between Contractors. Project Cost Class - $500,000 to $1,000,000 In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
