Site work for a water / sewer project in Lake Jackson, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Concentrate Outfall Line The project consists of constructing 1,460 LF of 12-in DR 25 C900 PVC watermain, including 1,290 LF of horizontal direction drill, outfall discharge into the Brazos River, connection to existing main, and appurtenances. All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the Bidding Documents. The name, address, and license number of the Bidder must be plainly marked thereon. Any Bid received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Bidders will be required to inform themselves of all Addenda duly issued. A cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bid Bond, payable to the order of the Brazosport Water Authority, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Maximum Amount Bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder will promptly enter into. Bids not accompanied by cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond will not be considered. Bonds shall be executed on forms furnished by the BWA and shall specifically provide for "Performance" and "Payment" Bonds and shall be in an amount of hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount, from a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and acceptable to the BWA. It shall be necessary that the Contractor increase the face amount of the Bond to equal each net increase, if any, in the original Contract Amount. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended by Executive Order 11375, and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations 41 CFR Part 60. This contract is contingent upon release of State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) funds from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Texas Water Development Board and shall be referred to as Project #51013. Neither the State of Texas nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Invitation for Bids or any resulting contract. The BWA reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any nonconforming Bid and to award the Contract in a period of time not exceeding ninety (90) days from the Bid opening date. Bid prices shall remain firm for that period. Effective January 1, 2016, Texas Government Code Section 2252.908 requires persons who enter into contract with a government entity to submit a disclosure of interested parties (Form 1295) to the governmental entity or state agency at the time the business entity submits the signed contract to the governmental entity or state agency. The law applies only to a contract of a governmental entity or state agency that either (1) requires an action or vote by the governing body of the entity or agency before the contract may be signed or (2) has a value of at least $1 million.
