22-MX-VC-001 is an SBR contract to replace concrete sidewalk and swale at Victor Cullen Center. A. This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc. necessary to remove existing sidewalks, steps, curbs, swale and drainage boxes. Then install new concrete sidewalks, swale, drainage boxes, and concrete piping in accordance with drawings, specifications, and per applicable standards and requirements. There is approximately 1,920 square feet of concrete to be replaced. This amount will need to be verified by the contractor. Work associated with concrete sidewalks and swale replacement shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. Locate and mark all existing utilities prior to digging. 2. Concrete shall be removed to the nearest expansion joint, control joint, or for partial removal, in the location(s) and dispose of designated existing materials and any unsuitable materials below designated subgrade. 3. Concrete shall have a compressed stone base of 4" with a 4" wire mesh throughout. 4. All sidewalk concrete shall be compressive strength of 3,500 PSI and 4" thick. 5. Maximum allowable cross slope must comply with ADA requirements (1" per foot maximum. 6. Replace all saw cuts and expansion joint as per existing location. 7. All concrete sidewalk surfaces shall receive a light broom finish. 8. Swale is to be 3,500 PSI concrete reinforced with #3 bar, 24" wide by 10" deep with a 4" deep waterway and approximately 320' long. 9. Install two appropriate size precast concrete drain boxes. 10. Install approximately 45' of concrete pipe. 11. Backfill with stone over concrete pipe then top with a minimum 4" of asphalt to road grade. 12. All areas where concrete sidewalks, steps, curbs, and swale have been removed and new concrete has not been installed is to be backfilled, graded, seeded, and mulched.
