Renovation of an educational facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Any claim by a bidder of error in its bid must be made in compliance with section 5100 et seq. of the Public Contract Code. Prior to publicly posting bids on the District website, the District reserves the right to verify the genuineness of any bid security. CONTRACTOR should consult the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidating Damages. Bids shall be received in the place identified above. Bids will be made on the Bid Forms furnished with the specifications and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time and place. Bidders need not be present at bid opening. Late submissions will not be accepted. The scope of work: Removal and replacement of roofing materials located on three (3) buildings including restoration of one (1) metal roof. The lowest bid shall be the lowest total of the base bid including the owners allowance as specified in bid documents. The Notice to Proceed anticipated date: June 9, 2022. Design and fabrication must begin after NTP. The Date of Completion is 120 calendar days after the NTP date. Liquidated damages are $500.00 per calendar day of delay for the completion and acceptance of the project. Email: movirtual@natomasunified.org Bidders shall read and review the Bid Documents carefully, and shall familiarize themselves thoroughly with all requirements. Each Bid shall conform to the requirement of the Contract Documents. The bidder is required to possess a State of California Class C-39 Contractors License. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond from an admitted surely acceptable to the District prior to being awarded the contract for the Work. Prequalification of Bidders As a condition of submitting a bid for this Project, and in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 20111.6 prospective bidders are required to submit to the District a completed prequalification application. This application is available online at NatomasUnified.org and will be the basis for determining which bidders are qualified to bid on the Project. Bidders must be prequalified by the District. The approved list of bidders are on the Natomas Unified School District Website. The successful bidder shall be required to pay its workers on this project a sum not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and not less than the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work for work of a similar character in the locality in which the project is performed, as provided under California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. The governing board of Natomas Unified School District reserves the right to cancel the bid, reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularity in any bid received, by order of the Board of Trustees of the Natomas Unified School District. Contractor/Subcontractor Registration and Labor Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement. Except as provided in Labor Code 51771.1(a), no Contractor or Subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project, or perform work on a public works contract, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code 51725.5. The Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
