Demolition, site work and addition to a municipal facility in Duanesburg, New York. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The work includes, but is not limited to: Work of the Contract at the site shall be scheduled to commence on June 9, 2021. The Project has tentatively developed the following schedule for Substantial and Final Completion. Substantially Completed on or before September 13, 2022, and final completion on or before November 10, 2022. The Town of Duanesburg will award Multiple Prime Contracts as follows: CONTRACT NUMBER AND TYPE 1. Contract 01 - General Construction 2. Contract 02 - Plumbing 3. Contract 03 - HVAC 4. Contract 04 - Electrical Project Location: 5853 Western Turnpike, Duanesburg, New York, 12056 1. Building addition including all necessary architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical electrial and life safety system. 2. Existing building alterations including: a. Roof and roofing accessory replacement. b. Ceiling, wall and floor finish replacements. c. New attic access hatch. d. New partitions & doors. e. Lighting replacement. f. HVAC system replacement. g. Alterations and coordination of existing power and data system. 3. Replacment of existing entrance stair & ramp including a. Foundation supports for existing canopy to remain b. Concrete stair, landing and ramp assembly. c. hand/guardrail assembly. d. site asphalt patching/repairs. 4. Site stair adjacent to the existing building including: a. Concrete stair, foundations, sidewalks and landings. b. hand/guardrail assembly c. coordination with adjacent existing guardrail d. Minor grading and drainage around new work. 5. Digital site sign. 6. New electrical service including temporary measures during construction. 7. Full lighting replacement at existing building. 8. Full HVAC system replacement at existing building. 9. Contingency Allowances are identified under Section 012200 - Unit Prices. 10. Unit Prices are identified under Section 012300 - Alternates. 11. Alternates are identified under Section 012100 - Allowances. Bids will be received on a Stipulated Sum basis, including unit prices, alternates and allowances, in accordance with the Summary of Work as described in the Contract Documents. The Project schedule anticipates an approximate start date of June 9, 2022 and shall be Substantially Completed within 127 calendar days for Owner Occpuancy and completed and ready for final payment within 155 calendar days after the date when the contract time commences to run. The Contractor(s)' surety, if any, shall be assessed liquidated damages for late completion. The labor on this contract shall be performed in all respects in full accordance with the Labor Law of the State of New York. Contractors must conform to the New York State prevailing wage rate schedules which are annexed to and form a part of the specifications for this project. Bids should not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price The Town of Duanesburg reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. All questions must be submitted prior to Thursday May 12, 2022 by 12:00pm local time
