Renovation of a municipal facility in Connellsville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work will consist of installing trusses with metal roofing over the building's two end towers. Each proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of City of Connellsville in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with provisions of the Contract Documents. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap; The City of Connellsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the biddings. Bids may be held by the City of Connellsville for a period of forty five (45) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons who are registered as having obtained Contract Documents. All addenda will be issued to the email addresses below. Delivery confirmation to the email address provided will constitute a receipt of the addenda by the contractor. It is the contractor's responsibility to check their email addresses at appropriate intervals. Any questions regarding the project must be sent via email to kbell@widmerengineering.com. All questions and answers will be posted to the bid advertisement page. Questions will not be answered via phone calls during bid stage. A. This project consists of installing new trusses and metal roofing above the tower portions of the City of Connellsville Public Works Garage Building at 122 W South Street, Connellsville PA. Trusses will be secured to the towers and a pitched metal roof is to be installed with new ridge vent, fascia, perforated soffit, snow guard, gutter and downspouts. Existing penetrations may remain as ventilation to be provided by vented soffit and ridge cap. Electrical mast to be raised as required. Existing wooden members atop brick portion of towers to be covered by fascia board. All removed material is to be properly disposed of in accordance with DEP standards. The Contractor is responsible for contacting the Engineer if any material is in question. B. The Work will be performed under a single contract.
