Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Working plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for the construction of a 133,648-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.
BCIT is looking to expedite and overlap the delivery of the separate project scopes for construction starting in 2023. The Trades and Technology Complex is composed of three distinct projects, each of which will have a different Prime Consultant. Trades and Technology Centre and Ecological restoration of Guichon Creek (82,850 sf). This includes the demolition of existing buildings NE09 and NE 07. Total estimated construction value up to $90M. Carpentry Pavilion and Marine & Mass Timber Workshop (two building locations,7700 sf and 8116 sf, respectively). Total estimated construction value up to $7.3M. Campus Services Building (34,982 sf). Total estimated construction value up to $22M. TIMELINE: BCIT seeks responses from Construction Managers with demonstrated experience in design assist construction management and the delivery of complex multi-site building projects on active and occupied properties; Ref. # PRJ48891 was awarded to: Bird Construction Bosa Construction Ledcor Construction Limited The Haebler Group Request for pre-qualification to invites interested architectural services Ref. # PRJ46323 is closed; preferred proponent is selected.
