The wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by the law and are set forth in the bid proposal. The St. Joseph Regional Port Authority hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. The awarded Contractor and its subcontractor(s) shall require all such employees to complete this tenhour program, pursuant to 292.675 RSMO, unless they hold documentation on their prior completion of said program. Penalties for non-compliance include Contractor forfeiture to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission in the amount of $2,500, plus $100 per Contractor and sub-contractor employee for each calendar day such employee is employed beyond the elapsed time period for required program completion under 292.675 RSMO.
