**As of June 23, 2022, project was awarded to Grade Construction awarded amount is $574,682.30.** The work to be performed under this contract shall include but not limited to the following major work items: Installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic protection devices associated with the vehicular detour proposed for this project Installation, maintenance, and removal of all soil erosion and sediment control devise as shown on the plans Protection of existing utilities at the project limits Removal of existing pipe structure in its entirety, including wingwalls, headwall, and existing drainage structures as needed Construction of new pre-cast 3-sided rigid frame culvert with cast in place footings, wing walls, and parapet with stone veneer Construction of approximately 400 feet of roadway The Somerset County Purchasing Division is maintaining Social Distancing; therefore, it is encouraged to Mail in your bid responses in a timely manner via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-delivered, potential bidders may drop them off at the Main Entrance of the County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 and a Sheriffs Officer will contact the Purchasing Division to receive the responses. During the bid opening process, the bidders will be announced as will bid amounts. A bid review providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. Instead, this information will be posted, as always to the Purchasing webpage once available. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidders contract. All Bid Addenda will be issued on the County website at electronically and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-23(c)(2).
