The County is seeking structural engineering services for a variety of County projects requiring the latest structural and seismic provisions. The work will include structural analysis, design, peer review, and evaluation. Work may include but will not be limited to the design of new facilities, existing facilities, detention centers, health facilities and hospitals. The scope of work will be established prior to the issuing of a task order; projects may include all phases of the project development and may include, but is not limited to the following: o Footings o Foundations o Building pads o Inspections o Seismic retrofit and rehabilitation o Structural modeling and analysis o Building Information Modeling (BIM) Consultant shall provide all back up calculations for any structural design elements. The Consultant will also provide field inspection of existing structural elements to ensure compliance with approved design plans and specifications. The Contractor may be required to provide some or all of the following items: o Analysis o Building Information Modeling (BIM) o Reports o Quality Control o Value Engineering Submit questions, comments, and exceptions, including notifications of apparent errors, to Tory Newman at tnewman@smcgov.org by the deadline for questions, comments and exceptions. Questions and comments received after the deadline may not be acknowledged. Liquidated damages of $2,500 per violation; If requesting changes to a part of this solicitation, identify the specific words or phrases and the sections and paragraphs in which they occur. State the reason for each request and provide alternative suggested language. Failure to submit requests by the deadline will be deemed a waiver of any exception. The County's consideration of a suggestion does not imply acceptance. If sufficient proposals are received with no requested changes, the County may reject those requesting changes. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
