State of Hawaii, DLNR, Division of Forestry & Wildlife-Maui District is requesting quotes for KULA AG PARK AND UPCOUNTRY MAUI AG PARK FENCE INSTALLATION in DOFAW-Maui District. Please see Attachments for specifications. Offer Price shall include all related taxes. Vendor must be HCE compliant to qualify for selection. The objective is to protect approximately 708 acres (ac) of agricultural farmland that has been set aside and managed to promote the development of diversified agriculture at a reasonable rent with long term tenure that contributes to the economic growth of Maui's agriculture industry. The fence will provide protection for the agricultural crops from the constant browsing pressure from ungulates that have caused extensive crop damage and economic loss. The project areas are owned and managed by the County of Maui. Approximately 20,000 LF of deer fence may be constructed in TMK (2) 2-5:001:002 and approximately 26,000 LF of deer fence in TMKs (2) 2-3:002:006, (2) 2-3:002:075, (2) 2- 3:002:085 thru 105, (2) 2-3:002:113 thru 120. The State will contract on a per linear foot basis.
