Replace current high pressure sand filters for 50 meter x 25 yard pool. There are
currently 3 high pressure sand filters. These are to be replaced with 2 horizontal
high pressure sand filters with 80 sq. ft. of filter area per filter. Filters to have
single lever backwash systems. This is to also include sand, diaphragms, and all
components needed for installing the new filters. Contractor will be responsible
for demolition and removal of old filtration systems, as well as installation of new
filters and components associated with them. Flow rate for this pool must exceed
1,345 gallons per minute to meet the 4x turnover rate required by the Department
of Health.
B. Replace current high pressure sand filters for the Dive Pool. There are currently
2 high pressure sand filters. These are to be replaced with 1 single high
pressure sand filters with at least 31 sq. ft. of filter area. Filter to have single
lever backwash system. This is to also include sand, diaphragms, and all
components needs for installing the new filters. Contractor will be responsible for
demolition and removal of old filtration systems, as well as installation of new
filters and components associated with them. Flow rate for this pool must
exceed 574 gallons per minute to meet the 4x turnover rate required by the
Department of Health. Replace a total of 3 (2 for 50 Meter Pool, 1 Dive well) recirculation pumps and
motors. The motors used shall be VFD controlled, and produce flow ratings that
exceed Florida Department of Health regulations for flow rate and turnover of
each respective pool. This shall include replacement of strainer basket, pump,
volute, impeller, motor, gaskets, seals, and all other components required for
installation and operation. Contractor will be responsible for removal of old
components, as well as installation of new.
D. Replace plumbing from the motor to the filter, and from out of the filter to the
heater regulation valve. All plumbing will be replaced with Sch. 40 PVC pipe, as
well as proper fittings for Sch. 40 PVC. Contractor will be responsible for
measuring lengths of pipe to be replaced during site visit. Contractor shall be
responsible for removal of old pipe and fittings, as well as installation of new.
E. Replace chemical controller for 50 Meter Pool and Dive Well. Controller to be
replaced with equivalent of a BEC Sys5 chemical controller or better.
