Houston Public Works Department is advertising for the provision of sixteen (16) dewatering centrifuge units to allow removal and replacement of the existing solid bowl centrifuges at the 69th St. Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The proposed centrifuges shall meet the specified design criteria and performance requirements as set forth in the solicitation. This is a Consent Decree Project. Scope. The City Strategic Procurement Division (SPD) plans to advertise a Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) for provision of sixteen (16) dewatering centrifuge units to allow removal and replacement of the existing solid bowl centrifuges at the 69th St. Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The proposed centrifuges shall meet the specified design criteria and performance requirements as set forth in this Section. Any reference to Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) in this specification will be provided by others. Normal operation of the centrifuges will be with VFD. This is a Consent Decree Project. Introduction and Background. The 69th Street WWTP is located at 2525 S/Sgt. Macario Garcia Drive, near the intersection of Clinton Drive and S/Sgt. Macario Garcia Drive and is within the City Council District I. The WWTP islocated on the north bank of Buffalo Bayou, (Key Map No. 494-R). The 69th Street WWTP is the City of Houston's largest wastewater treatment plant, permitted for 200 million gallons per day (MGD) average daily flow, with a peak permitted flow of 400 MGD. The Centrifuge Offeror shall have full knowledge of the existing 69th Street WWTP site conditions, and City of Houston and TCEQ requirements in order to propose a system that meets all applicable requirements.
