Renovation of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and museum.
This project will provide upgrades and modernization for elevators, escalators, and ADA lifts in multiple buildings in the Downtown State Government Complex in Raleigh. Elevator modernization to replace elevator controllers, elevator cab finishes, M-G set and other equipment in need of replacement. Project includes upgrades of emergency communications in elevators to meet the 2019 version of AMSE A17.1 (standard for elevators) to meet the NCDOL requirements The priority list includes 38 elevators; 6-escalators; and, 8-ADA lifts in 12 of the Downtown DOA buildings, as listed. Elevators: New Revenue (6); New Education (6); Archives (1- west passenger); Parking Deck 75 (2); Parking Deck 76 (2); Archdale (7); Museum of History (5); Old Revenue (6); Seaboard Bldg (1); NC Museum of Art East Bldg (2). Escalators: Museum of Natural Sciences (6-escalators) ADA Lifts: Old Revenue (7-ADA lifts); Justice Bldg (1 ADA lift in entrance lobby) This will be a phased project with the initial Phase One funding provided to begin the design effort and to accomplish upgrades of the elevators in most urgent need. Additional funding is anticipated in futures fiscal years to complete this project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
