City of Sugar Land Police Rehab, hereby referred to as The Project, is an alteration of an existing building, with a gross square footage of 57,524. The alterations proposed are classified as Repairs and Alterations Level 1 according to the 2015 IEBC, and total 19,180 square feet. Repair and Alterations consist of selective demolition, underground pipe replacement or repair, slab-on-grade repair, gypsum board partitions, and finishes (carpeting, tiling, VCT, paint). Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered. The City is not responsible for lateness or non- delivery of mail, carrier, etc. The date/time stamp in the City Secretarys office will be the official time of receipt. Bids cannot be altered or amended after submission deadline. Any alterations or erasures made before opening time must be initialed by the signer of the bid, guaranteeing authenticity. Questions regarding this bid must be submitted online by June 20 th on or before 10:00 a.m.. Contact with any personnel of the City other than as authorized in this Invitation to Bid (ITB), regarding this Invitation to Bid, may be grounds for elimination from the selection process. The City does not assume responsibility for not receiving questions from Bidder or the Bidders receipt of any answers, addenda, or amendment. A response to this ITB is an offer to contract based upon the terms, conditions and specifications contained herein The selected bidder(s) will be required to enter into the city of sugar land standard contract for small construction projects and provide and maintain the minimum insurance coverages required under the contract. The contract is available as an attachment to this itb. If any of the mandatory contract terms are unacceptable to you, please do not respond to this itb. The City Council will award and give notice of the contract award within sixty (60) calendar days after the opening date and time. The City reserves the right not to award any contract based on the ITB.
