Renovation of a transportation facility in Lodi, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The work includes replacement and painting of wood siding, trim, and soffits, as well as other miscellaneous and related items of work as shown on the plans and specifications for the project. The Contractor agrees to commence work within 14 calendar days after both parties have signed the contract, or as agreed-upon by the City and the Contractor in writing. Furthermore the Contract agrees to complete the work within 90 calendar days. Upon submitting a bid, Contractor agrees that length of time of the contract is reasonable. The City of Lodi hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Lodi hereby notifies all bidders of the City's local hiring and apprenticeship ordinance to strongly encourage local hire and apprenticeship practices. The City requires that all bidders comply with the ordinance on projects that are estimated to exceed $200,000; and will reject bids that fail to demonstrate a good faith local hire effort. No bid will be considered unless it is submitted on a proposal form furnished by the City of Lodi within the full set of contract documents. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the completion of such forms, and to award to the lowest responsible bidder.
