The City of Lodi hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Lodi hereby notifies all bidders of the City's local hiring and apprenticeship ordinance to strongly encourage local hire and apprenticeship practices. The City requires that all bidders comply with the ordinance on projects that are estimated to exceed $200,000; and will reject bids that fail to demonstrate a good faith local hire effort. No bid will be considered unless it is submitted on a proposal form furnished by the City of Lodi within the full set of contract documents. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the completion of such forms, and to award to the lowest responsible bidder.
