Site work and renovation of a civil project in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals required for the completion of the Well & Pump Improvement Project to be performed at the Arthur J. Bilodeau Water Treatment Plant and Mill River Wells. These improvements are summarized in Section 01010 and are depicted on the Contract Drawings, and include, but are not limited to mechanical process and electrical improvements to the existing Water Treatment Plant back wash water pump and motor, and drinking water supply wells and pumps. All Work of this Project shall be completed in compliance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts COVID-19 Guidelines and Procedures for All Construction Sites and Workers at All Public Works Sites. An enhanced site specific COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan will be required during the submittal process. Contract payment will be by the unit price method and the lump sum price method as indicated on the Bid Proposal. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27G, as amended apply to this project, as contained in Appendix A of the Contract Documents. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on the Minimum Wage Rates for those trade people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Chapter 30B of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. This project shall also comply with Sections 39F, 39K, 39N, and 39O of Chapter 30 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised and included in Appendix B. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. The Bid Security shall be in the form of a bid bond or certified treasurer's or cashier's check. Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Construction Performance Bond and 100 percent Construction Payment Bond. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders, Section 00100. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be the best interest of the Town of Weymouth. The Owner reserves the right to omit part or whole of any proposed work to be performed, as described in the Contract Documents, as may be required to maintain the total cost of work within available funds.
