Renovation of a stadium in Tupelo, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
City of Tupelo, Mississippi will receive bids for: Bancorp South Arena Polished Concrete Finishing Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder. The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities. A. The following SASE SIGNATURE FLOOR SYSTEM Decorative Floor process must be used. Floors should be started using a minimum 80 grit diamond tool depending on the condition of the slab. The remaining process follows: 1. Removal of Adhesive, Coatings, or Other For slabs that contain floor covering adhesive, coatings, underlayments, overlays, membranes or other conditions, remove using SASE 6, 16, 25, 40 grit metal bond tools, or specialized removal tooling/equipment as needed. Remove all pre existing patch material or leveling compound. Continue with consecutive grit metal diamonds up to 40 METAL. Wet grinding may be necessary to aid in removal of some toppings or coatings. 2. Control Joint Filling Clean, prepare, and fill all sawcut control joints using pre approved material (SASE Company can recommend products for this application). 3. Floor Repairs Clean, prepare, and fill floor defects, holes, cracks, or other using pre approved materials (SASE company can recommend products for this application). 4. Edgework Grind all exposed edges using approved equipment utilizing diamond tooling that corresponds with each consecutive step listed below. All exposed edges must blend with entire floor. 5. Note: when removing coatings, underlayments, overlaymens, glue, membranes or any other toppings you typically expose large aggregates in the removal process. Large aggregate exposure is commonly referred to as a CPC Class C "Coarse Aggregate" exposure per the CPC Aggregate Exposure Chart. The CPC (Concrete Polishing Council) Class C Coarse Aggregate states that the acceptable surface exposure percent is 80-90% coarse aggregate with 10-20% blend of cement fines and fine aggregate. This is just a natural occurrence from the aggressive nature when doing the removal stages on concrete. 6. Grind floor using SASE 80 grit METAL. 7. Vacuum or auto scrub floor to remove all concrete dust. Wait for all moisture to dry from the pores of the floor. Apply SASE All Spall 3 as a grout coat. Wait at least 1 hour before moving to the next step. 8. Grind floor using SASE 100 HYBRID, or 150 METAL 9. Use SASE 200 RESIN, HYBRID or XENITH PAD 10. Application of SASE D2 Multisilicate Densifier; clean floor 11. Use SASE 400 RESIN, HYBRID or XENITH PAD 12. Use SASE 800 TRITON RESIN, S-Series, or XENITH PAD *NOTE: Contractor Must Achieve an average gloss reading of 40 achieved by a Horbra Gloss Meter. 13. Use SASE 1500 TRITON RESIN, S-Series, or XENITH PAD as needed to achieve minimum gloss reading of 45. Note: Gloss and clarity can be further increased by continuing using 3000 TRITON RESIN, S-Series, or XENITH PAD. 14. Burnish floor using SASE 1500 or 3000 GRIT TRIFECTA PAD 15. Application of protective treatment (SASE SFS PROTECT SELECT, SPR3, SPR3 Plus, or SPR3 WB) 16. Burnish floor with a minimum of 1800 rpm using SASE HD, 800g, 1500g, or 3000 GRIT TRIFECTA PAD
