Site work for a water / sewer project in St Thomas, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Successful Bidder shall complete the rehabilitation of the Dalewood Dam spillway, abutments, wingwalls & retaining walls. The Successful Bidder shall: - Remove and dispose of existing deteriorated concrete on the dam deck, spillway, abutments, wingwalls, piers, and retaining walls above and below the waterline. - Install new concrete patchwork above and below the waterline. - Install sheet pile wingwall & retaining wall forms. - Reconstruct portions of the wingwalls and retaining walls above and below the waterline. - Complete excavations and temporary support of slopes as required to complete the work. - Backfill wingwalls and retaining walls, and restore slopes to original condition or better. - Install topsoil seed and mulch. GHD has prepared cost estimates for both Option 1 - dam raising using earth fill and Option 2 providing the required free board using Jersey Barriers, which are included in Appendix G. The plan showing the proposed earth fill area is shown in pink contours on Figure G3 included in Appendix G. It should be noted that the actual area must be determined by a total-station precise survey prior to construction. The estimate included in Appendix G provides the following costs for Option I and Option II: - Option 1 Earth Fill - $139,100 - Option 2 Jersey Barrier - $68,460
