The City of Grand Rapids is issuing this Request for Bids (RFB) for the furnishing and installation of various street furniture items - bicycle parking racks, benches, litter receptacles, and bicycle repair stands with pumps. This project is funded entirely by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Various federal requirements apply and are contained in this RFB, including Davis-Bacon requirements; additional requirements may be applicable. The City desires a Contractor with a minimum of five (5) years of experience with these street furniture items, including installation and maintenance. The Contractor must be able to demonstrate success with case studies and through client references. In addition, the Contractor must have a positive standing within the industry, be able to provide proof of technical expertise, and perform successful installation of the proposed equipment.
