Renovation of an educational facility in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Project consists of all labor, materials equipment and services necessary to perform roof repairs at the following sites: 3.1. McKinley School, MP Roof: Scope of Work: 1. Remove all debris from the Flat roof and gutters of the Multipurpose Building. 2. Three course repair all penetrations, drains/scuppers and mechanical curbs with KEELock mastic and Polyester soft. 3. Power wash drain valleys on the flat roof and allow to dry completely. Coat the drain valley with white Star and Viking White Spar gravel. 4. Clean and re-caulk all coping joints with Tripolymer Caulk. 3.2.Bridges School, Flat Roof & Gym: Scope of Work: 1. Remove all debris from the flat roofs and the gutters of the Gym metal roof. 2. Three course repair all penetrations, drains/scuppers and mechanical curbs with KEELock mastic and Polyester soft. 3. Power wash drain valleys on the flat roof and allow to dry completely. Coat the drain valley with white Star and Viking White Spar gravel. 4. Clean and re-caulk all coping joints with Tripolymer Caulk. 3.3. Dahl School, Built up Roofs & Metal Roof gutters: Scope of Work: 1. Remove all debris from the flat roofs and the gutters of the Gym metal roof. 2. Three course repair all penetrations, drains/scuppers and mechanical curbs with KEELock mastic and Polyester soft. 3. Clean all gutters on the metal roof and re-caulk all lap joints with Tripolymer Caulk. 3.4.Santee School, Administration Building & wall outside counselor's room: Scope of Work: 1. Remove all debris from the Administration Roof. 2. Three course repair all penetrations, drains/scuppers and mechanical curbs with KEELock mastic and Polyester soft. 3. Power wash drain valleys on the flat roof the length of the front of the Admin. and allow to dry completely. Coat the drain valley with white Star and Viking White Spar gravel. 4. Clean all internal drain valleys on all buildings. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: C-39. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, ("DIR") for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the District or the DIR website. This Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the Total Bid (Base Bid + 10% Allowance) amount only. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
