This is the second call for tenders for this project The CMI hosts the MiQro Innovation Collaboration Center (C2MI), a unique ecosystem in America based on the involvement of more than 400 industrial partners. The CMI brings together more than 250 scientists in research and development and offers state-of-the-art equipment dedicated mainly to advanced encapsulation of electronic chips, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), printable electronics, characterization of materials and reliability analyses. In order to maintain its position in a rapidly growing market which constantly pushes back the technological limits, the CMI needs to enlarge its current building, to allow the installation of new facilities for the prototyping of technologies to support the development of quantum computers and improve its industrial microfabrication capabilities. More than forty equipment will be added over the next 5 years. The planned expansion has an approximate gross area of 3,130 m2, an area that excludes the accessible between ceiling located above the clean rooms and includes more than 1,050 m2 (11,300 ft2) of clean rooms. Specifically, the expansion works include the construction of the following spaces: The "Quantum" sector comprising a dressing area, clean rooms certified classes 10 and 1000 (ISO 4 and 6) and access controls; The LIMS 2 or "MEMS" (Mechanical-Electrical Micro Systems) sector, accessible from the existing LIMS 1 sector and also grouping clean rooms certified classes 10 and 1000 (ISO 4 and 6); Spaces for electromechanical services (ventilation, humidification, vacuum, water and demineralized water treatment, etc.) to adequately serve the new clean rooms; Laboratory support spaces, such as a storage room for spare parts, development materials, repair and modification of equipment, as well as two storage rooms for empty barrels and cylinders; Common areas, such as washrooms with showers and a common area.
