Major focus areas for testing at the State Entity's laboratories are; 1. Chemistry (Newborn Screening Unit, Lead Screening and Fluoride Testing), 2. Emergency Preparedness (Biological/Chemical Threat and Molecular Biology Units) and 3. Microbiology (Bacteriology, Microbial Immunology, Mycobacteriology, Parasitology and Virology Units). The State Entity operates two (2) public health laboratories in the following locations: Decatur Laboratory (Central), 1749 Clairmont Road, Decatur, Georgia 30033 Waycross Regional Laboratory, 1751 Gus Karle Parkway, Waycross, Georgia 31503 Deadline for written questions sent via email to the Issuing Officer - 04/29/2022 4:00 p.m. ET Official Issuing Officer (Buyer) Marcia Simeon Marcia.Simeon@dph.ga.gov The initial term of the contract(s) is for one (1) calendar year(s) from the execution date of the contract(s). The State Entity shall have four (4) one (1) year option(s) to renew, which options shall be exercisable at the sole discretion of the State Entity. Renewal will be accomplished through the issuance of Notice of Award Amendment. In the event that the contract(s), if any, resulting from the award shall terminate or be likely to terminate prior to the making of an award for a new contract for the identified products and/or services, the State Entity may, with the written consent of the awarded supplier(s), extend the contract(s) for such period of time as may be necessary to permit the State Entity's continued supply of the identified products and/or services. The State Entity reserves the right to reject any or all responses, to waive any irregularity or informality in a response, and to accept or reject any item or combination of items, when to do so would be to the advantage of the State of Georgia.
