The City of Marion seeks a qualified consultant to undertake an assessment and preparation of architectural construction drawings for the rehabilitation of the First National Bank Building located in the Main Street Historic District in Marion, North Carolina. The building (circa 1903) is a contributing building in the Citys Main Street Historic District designated on the National Register of Historic Places on March 28, 1991. This project is to assess the building and prepare a complete set of construction drawings and cost estimate for the rehabilitation of the building for its future use. Project Schedule: The contract for the work should be executed no later than August 25, 2022. Scope of Work and a payment schedule for the project will be included in the contract. A site visit may be arranged as necessary. The selected firm will be notified by telephone. Notification will not be sent to firms not selected. The selected firm will be notified by the City of Marion and will be expected to enter into an agreement with the City of Marion as soon as possible after such notification. The City of Marion reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all proposals submitted. There is not expressed or implied obligation for the City of Marion to reimburse responding firms for any expense incurred in preparing their proposal. All propose responses to the RFP shall remain valid for a period of not less than ninety (90) calendar days from the due date of the RFP. Submission of a proposal indicates acceptance by the responding firm of the terms, conditions, and requirements descried in the RFP unless clearly and specifically noted in the submittal.
