Site work and paving for a road / highway in Westport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Westport reserves the right to waive any defects and informalities in the bidding or in any bid, to reject any or all bids for any reason whatsoever, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Westport. The work included under this contract shall be conducted at Bedford Middle School roads, parking areas and adjacent bituminous sidewalks, and a portion of Staples High School roads, parking areas, and adjacent bituminous sidewalks. The work includes but is not limited to, Reclamation of paved parking lots, roadways and bituminous sidewalks, removal and disposal off site of all excess reclaimed processed material, rough and fine grading to establish the grades necessary to bring the finished surface to the same grades as existing, placement of a 2-inch bituminous concrete base and 2-inch bituminous concrete wearing course, reconstruction of removed 6 inch bituminous concrete lip curb, and replacement of 2-inch thick, 5-foot wide bituminous concrete sidewalks. All work shall be coordinated and scheduled so as to keep the schedule of the work as continuous as possible.
