This contract provides for improvements to the approximately .46-acre Rose Village neighborhood park: Removal of existing fencing, driveway approaches, sidewalks and trees, excavation and grading, installation of new concrete surfaces, concrete curbs, play equipment, benches, picnic table, trash receptacles, bike racks, poured in place rubber safety surfacing, landscape boulders, signage and fencing, installation of new trees, shrubs, and seeded lawns complete with irrigation and other work. The City intends to award this Contract for an initial period of one (1) year with an option to extend for up to two (2) additional years based on land evaluation after the first years work. Subsequent work may be performed the next year and/or the following year. The City of Vancouver in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
