The Town of Gordonsville, Virginia is soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors, hereinafter referred to as "the Contractor or Bidder" to provide curbside solid waste collection and disposal services for the weekly collection of trash from approximately 656 residential and small business curbside locations within the corporate limits of the town. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish labor and equipment needed for the collection and disposal of non-hazardous solid waste, excluding containers for curbside collection. All incidental costs including, but not limited to, fuel, travel, telephone, bonding and insurance must be included in the bid amount submitted to the Town. The contract may be extended for one (1) three-year renewal or three (3) one-year renewals as the parties mutually agree in writing on or before April 1, 2025 and every April 1 st thereafter. Tentative bid award shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder meeting the requirements and/or intent of this solicitation at the net delivered prices shown. However, if the Bidder modifies, limits, restricts or subjects his bid proposal to conditions that would change the requirements of the specifications, this would be considered a conditional or qualified bid proposal and will not be accepted. The Town reserves the right to delete any bid item listed in the bid. In the event of a tie bid, the Town will negotiate with each tie-bidder for the most advantageous contract to the Town. The Town Manager will seek Town Council approval to execute a contract for curbside solid waste collection and disposal at the May 16, 2022 Council meeting. The Town assumes no responsibility for oral instruction, suggestion or interpretations. Any questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to Deborah S. Kendall, Town Manager.
