The project involves removal of existing unit ventilators and HVAC equipment, and installing new condensers, Air Handling Unit, Exhaust Fans, and unit ventilators with associated equipment and piping. Work will also include abatement, masonry, carpentry, painting, roofing, and lighting.Separate sealed Bid Packages for the following Contract will be received: Single Overall Contract FRANKLIN SCHOOL IAQ AND HVAC UPGRADE PROJECT Due to the nature of this work, bidders must have one of the following State of New Jersey -Division of Property Management and Construction {DPMC) Classifications to be eligible to bid this project: C032HVACR, COOS General Construction, Or C009 General Construction, Alterations and Additions.All questions with regard to the bid must be received by the ENGINEER, A&J CONSULTING, no later than MONDAY, MAY 9, 2022. All questionsmust be submitted in written form. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of bidder and proposal identification number on the outside, and must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Kearny Board of Education, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00); and must be delivered to the Business Administrator at the above place, by the hour named.The Board of Education and Engineers assume no responsibility for bids mismailed or misdirected. Each bidder shall submit with its bid, a Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N..J.S.A. l8A:l8A-25 from a Surety company stating that it will provide the bidder and all subcontractors, if successful, with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. The Kearny Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the interest of the Board of Education to do so.
