Summary of Work: The work of this Contract includes: Replacement of the existing fire sprinkler life safety system piping on the main Admin Building that froze during a recent winter storm when the dry type system was accidently charged on the exterior piping around the North side of the building due to a leak, resulting in 8 different breaks on approximately 90 feet of piping that was found severely weakened by age and deterioration. This project will also include adding new piping and Sprinklers to the South portal area of the building that was added in 2018, but never had fire sprinkler protection included into the addition. PROJECT LOCATON All work will take place at the USFS Detroit Ranger Station. The physical address is 44125 Santiam Hwy S. Detroit, OR 97342. From Salem, Oregon, travel east on OR-22 for approximately 53 miles. The Ranger Station is on the left of Hwy 22, across from the Oregon State Detroit Lake Campground. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT The Government's estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Note: Payment for bond premiums in accordance with Clause 52.232-5, Payments under Fixed-Price Construction Contracts, shall not be in addition to the contract price.
