Deadline for Questions 05-May-2022 16:00:00 CONTRACT SPECIFIC GOALS: 26% MBE 6% WBE 0% VBE Project Location: The work is located at two locations: Jardine Water Purification Plant, 1000 East Ohio Street, Chicago, IL 60611 and Eugene Sawyer Water Purification Plant, 3300 East Cheltenham Place, Chicago, IL 60649. The work areas include but not limited to the following areas shown on the Drawings: a. Jardine Water Purification Plant: 1) Chemical Storage Area at elevations -15.00 and 10.00 2) Chemical Feed Day Tank Area at elevations 38.00 and 51.00 3) Chemical Application Rooms at elevation 25.00 4) Chemical Area at elevation 14.50 5) Chemical Receiving Area at elevation 5.35 b. Sawyer Water Purification Plant: 1) Low Lift Pump Discharge Pipe Room at elevation -14.25 2) Basin No. 3 Gallery at elevation -2.00 and Filter Pipe Gallery No. 4 at elevation -14.00 3) Coagulating Basin Area at elevation 17.00 4) West Filter Gallery at elevation 6.00 5) Low Lift Pumping Station at elevation -24.00 6) Chemical Building at elevation 24.00 7) Low Lift Pump Electrical Room at elevation -14.25 8) Basin No. 1 Gallery at elevation -12.00 and Filter Pipe Gallery No. 1 at elevation -14.00 urnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required and perform the JWPP and SWPP Phosphate System Modifications Project, City of Chicago Department of Water Management (CDWM) Project No. 20303 and 20203 in its entirety as shown on the Drawings, as required by Book 1 - Terms and Conditions for Construction and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents, and as specified herein. a. Jardine Water Purification Plant: 1) Provide modifications to the existing blended polyphosphate fill station and bulk storage tank feed piping. 2) Remove and dispose of existing level sensors system including all conduit and wiring back to source from bulk storage tanks. Remove and salvage existing blended polyphosphate mixers. 3) Clean, inspect, repair, and furnish modifications to four existing concrete bulk blended polyphosphate bulk storage tanks to install new PVC bag liner system, piping, valves, and appurtenances for phosphoric acid bulk storage. 4) Remove and dispose of existing blended phosphate system transfer pumps, equipment pads, piping, valves, day tanks, electrical equipment, conduit and wiring, and controls. Remove and salvage existing blended polyphosphate feed pumps. 5) Provide four phosphoric acid transfer pumps, associated piping, valves, appurtenances, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls and SCADA integration and programming. 6) Provide two filtered water collector phosphoric acid day tanks, associated piping, valves, appurtenances, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls, and SCADA integration and programming. 7) Provide five filtered water collector phosphoric acid feed pump skids, associated piping, valves, appurtenances, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls. 8) Provide two rapid mix phosphoric acid day tank support structures and incidentals. 9) Remove, modify, and install rapid mix day tank area hand railings. 10) Provide four rapid mix phosphoric acid day tanks, associated piping, valves, appurtenances, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls, and SCADA integration and programming. 11) Provide ten rapid mix phosphoric acid feed pump skids, associated piping, valves, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls, and SCADA integration and programming. 12) Provide flow meters for phosphoric acid feed application points, and SCADA integration and programming. 13) Provide chemical containment curbs and protective coatings at bulk tank, day tank, and feed pump locations. 14) Design and construct pipe hangers and supports. 15) Provide coating systems on piping, valves, and equipment. 16) Provide modifications to existing substation, associated conduit, wiring, and incidentals. 17) Provide new motor control center, associated conduit, wiring, and incidentals. 18) Provide modifications to existing switchboards SWBD-AB-2E and SWBDAB-2W associated conduit, wiring, and incidentals. 19) Provide new panelboards, associated conduit, wiring, and incidentals. 20) Provide new network and SCADA equipment into existing control room, associated conduit, cable, and incidentals. 21) Provide new network in existing control room cabinet, and throughout plant including associated conduit, cable, and incidentals. 22) Provide system integration services to integrate, program, test, and commission new PLC's, OIT's, updating existing SCADA workstations, updating existing SCADA servers to operate with CDWM's existing SCADA system. 23) Provide testing and startup for all electrical equipment, pumps, tanks, valves, control equipment, and SCADA. 24) Furnish operational instruction and operation / maintenance manuals for all electrical equipment, pumps, tanks, valves, and control equipment. 25) Furnish spare parts and accessories as required in Contract Documents. Sawyer Water Purification Plant: 1) Remove and dispose of existing caustic soda bulk storage tank fill station and fill piping, valves, appurtenances, and control panel. 2) Remove and dispose of four existing abandoned caustic soda bulk storage steel tanks, transfer pumps, equipment pads, piping, valves, day tanks, electrical equipment, conduit and wiring, and controls. 3) Remove and dispose of two existing blended polyphosphate bulk storage stainless steel tanks, piping, valves, electrical equipment, conduit and wiring, controls, and platforms. 4) Remove and dispose of existing blended polyphosphate feed pumps, transfer pumps, feed piping, valves, day tanks, electrical equipment, conduit and wiring, and controls. 5) Remove and dispose of existing pilot testing phosphoric acid feed pumps, storage totes, piping, valves, electrical equipment, conduit and wiring, and controls. 6) Remove and dispose of existing lime feed pumps, day tanks, equipment pads, piping, valves, electrical equipment, instrumentation, conduit and wiring, and controls. 7) Provide structural steel support system for four new phosphoric acid bulk storage tanks. 8) Furnish and construct on site four new steel phosphoric acid bulk storage tanks with PVC bag lining and appurtenances. 9) Provide modifications to access platforms for phosphoric acid bulk storage tanks. 10) Provide four transfer pumps, associated piping, valves, appurtenances, electrical equipment
