Renovation of a laboratory facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12405B22Q0189 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-04. The USDA, ARS, in Charleston, SC requires the following Services: Chilled water pump and motor replacement as described in the Statement of Work. The quote should include: Provide and install into current 544 ton Carrier Chiller loop system, one (1) 125HP, 460V chilled water pump motor and pump (for P7). Includes factory installation and startup (full skid). Place of Performance: U.S. Vegetable Laboratory, 2700 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29414 To schedule a site visit at the location, please contact Robert Simmons at robert.simmons@usda.gov. PAYMENT: Any award made under this solicitation is subject to 31 CFR Part 208 which requires all payments made by the government to be made by electronic funds transfer. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Item, the significant evaluation factors, in the relative order of importance, are (i) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement including delivery date; (ii) past performance; and (iii) price (based on F.O.B. Destination), technical and past performance are more important than price. Award will be made based on overall BEST VALUE to the Government. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed priced contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the specifications that will be the most advantageous to the government in accordance with FAR 13.106-2. Responses shall include technical specifications, descriptive material, and capabilities of the offeror's equipment. Offerors shall identity where the offered item meets or does not meet each of the Government's functional and performance minimum specifications listed herein. All sources wishing to furnish a quotation must respond by 2:00 p.m. central standard time, July 8, 2022.
