The Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking to procure the services of a contractor to complete a residential home remodel of a DORS client. VSBE Subcontracting Goal-0 % The scope of work included in this contract are as defined but not limited to: a) Rehabilitate and brace the existing stair leading to the existing entrance wooden deck to allow for safe ambulatory ingress and egress of the consumer prior to the start of the VPL project commencement. The rehabilitation should include ADA appropriate hand railings. b) Removal and disposal of vegetation around existing Vertical Platform Lift (VPL) c) Removal, carting away and disposal of the existing VPL. d) Removal of the existing VPL concrete pad and walkway e) Preparation of the demolished pad and walkway to receive new reinforced concrete pad and walkway as delineated on the drawing that is a part of this report. f) Modification of the existing wooden deck to receive a new 5-foot extension on the right side, facing the house, that will then serve as the wooden upper landing platform for the new VPL to land on. g) Modification of the existing VPL power supply to serve the new the VPL. The power supply shall be dedicated for the VPL. Extent of work will be determined at the Pre-Bid Conference. h) Supply, installation and commissioning of a wheelchair Vertical Platform Lift with a maximum rise of 50 Inches. i) Fabrication and installation of wooden self-closing spring-loaded hinged gate at the top landing of the existing stairs
