SUNY Delhi is Soliciting Quotes for Condensate Repair Manhole #3, Farrell Hall under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law 355(5)(a). A sealed bid will not be held. CR Number: 2086298 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Scope of Work:
1) Excavate Site, remove paver(s), stage materials at a location the College will provide a
different location on site.
a. Note failed utility is at a depth of 7'-0" plus, from finish grade - Shoring required.
b. Campus to provide relocation of paver(s) once staged on pallet(s)
c. Excavation equipment must be rubber pad or tires to avoid damage to surrounding
paver(s)/ area.
d. Campus will direct location to stage spoils.
2) Remove 4" condensate piping system from southern flange located inside manhole #3, to
pipe system that is in good condition, exterior (South) of the manhole #3.
3) Prep remaining pipe system and weld condensate carrier pipe in place aliening interior
flange.
4) Proceed with manufactures recommended repairs for piping system (Perma-Pipe System).
Provide needed materials to insulate and provide pipe protection.
a. If within 9' of flange. campus will supply piping system
b. Materials needed but not limited to are piping system (if greater than 9' is required),
link seal kit for manhole #3, piping system joint kit suggest you place a unit price for
pipe, but not part of base bid.
5) Install link seal at manhole wall & joint kit at pipe connection
6) Provide flange (150# / 8 bolt for 4" pipe), gasket, bolts in manhole and make pressure tight
connection.
7) Provide backfill in 6" lifts and compacted backfill to 95% compaction. Return subgrade to
within 4" of finish paver surface. Work with college to establish final subgrade.
