OPWDD's Contract Management Unit for Taconic DDSOO is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to perform Tank Pumping Services at the Campus located at 26 Center Circle, Wassaic in Dutchess County. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to tank pumping service on an on-going basis for hold and haul operation of the primary Imhoff tank. This tank is 30' deep, and a hose and pump system compatible with emptying a tank of this depth will be required. Estimated daily need for pumping is 20,000 gallons. This is only an estimate based on current Wastewater Treatment Plant output. Actual gallons needed to be pumped daily may fluctuate. ccess to the Wastewater Treatment Plant is limited by a railroad trestle. Contractor must use a pump truck that will be able to access the location. The pumped load must then be transferred to a larger storage tank truck which the contractor must provide. This will be needed to ensure that the contractor can meet the requirement of pumping 20,000 gallons per day unless the contractor can ensure they can handle the capacity without the need for the larger pump truck. A listing of trucks and/or equipment to be used performing services may be requested by Taconic DDSOO. Any spillage that may occur while providing these services is the sole responsibility of the Contractor. If spillage occurs, the Contractor must immediately notify the Plant Superintendent or designee. The Contractor must immediately clean all spillage while adhering to NYS DEC and DOH regulations. Work performed will meet all New York State building codes, as well as NYS DEC, NYS or County DOH, and OSHA Regulations, as applicable. The contractor must visit the site and satisfy themselves as to the existing conditions under which they are to operate or that in any way affects the work. No allowance will be made for corrective work for claims based on lack of knowledge of these conditions. Work is to be done between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Taconic DDSOO reserves to right to increase the pumping schedule to include weekends if deemed necessary to maintain tank levels. References, experience, financial resources, and applicable insurances are required. All bidders must submit at least three (3) work references that will verify that the bidder or its principals have at least three (3) years of relevant experience to complete the work as listed in Qualifications and Scope of Work. Contract will be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder that provides the lowest Estimated Annual Cost.
