Demolition, site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Lachine, Quebec. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a water / sewer project; and playground / park / athletic field.

Upgrades, improvement and redevelopment of two City parks: Lachine Riverfront Park and René-Lévesque Park. The scope of the project includes major work to stabilize the banks, preserve existing infrastructure, elements of heritage interest in order to maintain the services provided to the population by these green spaces, while improving biodiversity and resilience of shorelines by restoring effective riparian strips. The admiralty building at the park entrance will be demolished and the existing captaincy building will be repaired, redeveloped and used as a reception pavilion of the park. The project involves major landscaping and civil engineering work. Note. For information: the budget for carrying out the complete development of the new Lachine waterfront park and René-Lévesque park is approximately $68,840,000, of which an amount of $54,090,000 must be devoted to work planned on the shoreline, on the banks and in the riparian strip. Completion of the project is anticipated in 2028. TIMELINE: The owner is implementing the project by construction packages. First construction package relating to preparatory work for the new Lachine park has been already tendered, awarded and followed in the report under CRM ID name Preparatory Work for the New Lachine Waterfront Park. Construction is underway. Subsequent package tenders are anticipated starting early 2024 and will be followed in new separate reports. Note.
