The Scope of Work for the Project includes furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials, and performing all work necessary for mass grading for a 23 acre site, streets, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water mains, electric, and any other incidental items and work described in the bidding documents, or reasonably inferable therefrom.The Owners intent is to have the Work performed under the Contract completed by December 15, 2022, however, an alternate schedule will be considered and evaluated as part of the bid selection process. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft on a responsible solvent Missouri bank, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable Surety company, naming the Owner as Obligee, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Base bid plus the greatest of the Alternate bids ("Bid Security").The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the faithful performance of the Contract, and also a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under this Contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. Effective January 1, 2009, and pursuant to RSMo 285.530 (1), No business entity or employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the state of Missouri. The successful bidder must submit a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming the business entity's enrollment and participation in the federal work authorization program and that all of its employees working for the contracted services are not illegal immigrants. Upon signing the contract, the successful contractor and any subcontractor performing the work shall provide a 10- hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their onsite employees, as specified in Section 3.3.5 of the General Conditions of the Contract Documents. The Owner Intends to Award the Contract to the Most Responsive, Responsible Bidder. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, and to Waive Any Irregularities In the Best Interest of the Owner.
