Work includes HMA Pavement, P.C.C. Pavement, P.C.C. Sidewalk, Sealcoat, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Earthwork / Grading, Paint Pavement Markings, Storm Sewer, and other Miscellaneous Site Improvements and Restoration. All bidders are hereby advised that they must submit a Pre-qualification Statement for this Project prior to opening of Bids. An IDOT Certificate of Eligibility Statement will be deemed acceptable for the Prime/General Contractor bidding this work. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from due date. Drawings and Specifications are on file for reference at the following locations: 1. Office of the Engineer, Midwest Engineering Associates, Inc., 140 East Washington Street, East Peoria, Illinois 61611. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from due date. Every bid shall consist of two (2) completed copies of Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by bid guarantee consisting of bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made payable to East Peoria Elementary School District 86, in the amount of five percent of total of bids upon which Contractor is bidding. Failure of bidder to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of this bid. Commencement of the work on the project may begin as soon as June 6th, 2022. Any work before this date shall be subject to the discretion of East Peoria Elementary School District #86. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Bids on all work of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act" (Illinois Revised Statues, Chapter 48, Section 395S - 1-12).
