This solicitation is open to potential bidders who hold prequalification status for Right of Way Property Management Demolition and Removal Services issued by GDOT and who hold a current prequalification certificate. Potential bidders who have not been prequalified by GDOT should visit Electronically. The work consists of the equipment, supervision, and all other services required for the complete abatement and demolition of the structures identified and described in the Asbestos Inspection Reports. All improvements must be completely demolished and removed from their present site. All demolition debris must be removed and disposed of properly in an appropriate landfill or recycled in accordance with the provisions of the Georgia Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Act of 1990 and the Georgia Rules for Solid Waste Management Chapter 391-3-4. The work will be completed in strict accordance with the Technical Specifications. The winning firm will be notified in writing via email and must provide the required Performance Bond within five (5) business days of receiving the purchase order. If the Contractor does not provide the required Performance Bond by the deadline, the Contractor may be deemed "non-responsive" and the Department may rescind the award and purchaser order. At that point, the next lowest bidder will be notified via e-mail of the Department's intent to accept the next lowest bid and the five (5) business day requirement to provide the Performance Bond will be upheld. GDOT reserves the right to reject the submittal of the offending Respondent.
