NOTICE INVITING BIDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Alhambra Unified School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as District, will receive sealed bids for the following project: BID NO. 1275 21/22 FREMONT ES ROOFING PROJECT (Project or Contract) The Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to provide roofing upgrades at Fremont Elementary School . Any Contractor bidding on the Project who fails to attend the entire PreBid Conference and mandatory site visit will be deemed a nonresponsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active C39 License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal. Bidder and subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder's registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents. Advertising in both a trade journal and paper is required. Copies of both advertisements will be attached to Document 00 45 46.02 DISABLED VETERAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATION and attached to bid . Request for Information and Substitutions : PreBid Clarifications (RFI's) and Request for Substitutions regarding this Invitation for Bid must be received in writing to Elizabeth Roman at bids@ausd.us by 10:00 AM on May 10, 2022 . Responses will be issued by 10:00 AM on May 12, 2022 via email and/or website posting. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
