The San Bernardino County, Department of Public Works (County), is seeking Proposals from interested and qualified Proposers to provide biological resource monitoring services for the Needles Highway Improvement Project - Segment 1B. The work, in general, consists of pulverizing asphalt concrete, removing asphalt concrete, cold plane existing asphalt concrete, constructing asphalt concrete over compacted pulverized asphalt concrete, constructing asphalt concrete cut off walls, installing tortoise fencing, painting traffic stripe and pavement markings, and doing other work appurtenant thereto. This project is funded with federal funds and compliance will be required through the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 8 Office of Local Assistance. Caltrans is the lead agency for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance. The County is the lead agency for California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance. Deadline for Submission of Questions 12 noon on April 25, 2022. Location of Services : Needles Highway Segment 1B Improvement Project is located 500 feet south of Park Road to One (1) mile north to 1 mile north in the vicinity of Needles.
